Dee was very sadly put to rest on monday the 28th of may 2007 after fighting a bad leg injury for 5 weeks
caused by a wild dog attack...she was happilly and brilliantly raising her colt foal born on the 7th of april 2007, and has done
an outstanding job teaching him to feed from a bucket.....thankfully, as we are now hand raising the poor little monkey...
He is going well, and looks just like his dear old mum!!!
Dee was a shy & suspicious mare, due to having such a hard and passed around breeding life
and never having too mnay hands laid upon her.....when she cam to us, she would just as soon run through a fence than let you near her!!
When she passed, she was a mare that i could call from the fence and she would talk back to me every time, i could catch her, and i could administer her injections etc,
she trusted me whole heartedly!!!!!
She will be very sadly missed, we had become very attached to the old possum.....and there wasnt a dry eye around when it came time to lay her down.
